A single ERDF PA2 Investment Plan covers five former coalfield Districts across North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire. In Derbyshire this benefits Bolsover and Chesterfield and in Nottinghamshire, Ashfield, Bassetlaw and Mansfield. The ERDF Investment Plan indicates funding will be used to support economic and enterprise activities which benefit the most disadvantaged communities within the eligible areas. Within this programme the priority will be to support activities which:
- Stimulate and support new markets and enterprise opportunities;
- Build local capacity, provide resources and support to develop the economy within local communities; and
- Revive local infrastructure and environments.
The Local Investment Plan was launched on 30 June 2008 at the Winding Wheel in Chesterfield.
From 1 April 2010, the five former coalfield Districts will be managed on a County basis with one programme for North Nottinghamshire (Ashfield, Bassetlaw and Mansfield) and one for North Derbyshire (Bolsover and Chesterfield).
The North Derbyshire ERDF PA2 budget for 2010 is now fully committed and is closed to new Expressions of Interest (EOIs) Subject to more ERDF funds being allocated for 2011 – 2013, EOIs will be invited again in 2011.
The North Nottinghamshire ERDF PA2 budget for 2010 has now been fully ring-fenced for project activity and therefore is no longer seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs). Subject to more ERDF funds being allocated for 2011 – 2013, EOIs may be invited again in late 2010. Please call Kay Massingham (details below) for the latest information.
